KTV Working Drone recognized globally by DJI.

This week, DJI, the world’s largest drone manufacturer, published a global story about KTV Working Drone across its official social media channels. For KTV, this is a significant milestone and a strong validation of a collaboration that has been ongoing since 2018.

KTV Working Drone is now active in 68 countries worldwide and has played a central role in transforming the cleaning and maintenance industry through drone-based operations. What began as an unconventional idea has evolved into a global operational standard for façade cleaning, window cleaning, industrial maintenance, and surface treatment.

Since 2018, KTV has worked closely with DJI to build a safe, scalable, and professional ecosystem for drone-based cleaning. KTV Working Drone technology is based on proprietary, in-house developed hardware, software, and cleaning techniques, combined with DJI as the aerial platform. This includes KTV’s own Power Cleaner machine technology, purpose-built for high-efficiency, controlled, and repeatable cleaning operations.

Unlike traditional methods, KTV’s systems enable autonomous and semi-autonomous façade and window cleaning with a strong focus on safety, consistency, and operational control. The technology eliminates the need for lifts, scaffolding, and rope access in many use cases, significantly reducing risk and cost.

KTV Working Drone has also had a direct impact on regulation. In many countries, aviation authorities have adapted drone regulations specifically to accommodate professional cleaning operations based on KTV’s operational model. KTV’s patented rooftop safety and securing solution has been formally recognized by regulators and has now become a requirement or reference standard in most markets where drone cleaning is approved.

From 2026, KTV Working Drone opened its technology to a broader market by offering equipment and onboarding through Tech Partner agreements, making the full system available to private companies and public authorities worldwide.

It is striking to reflect on how fast the market has evolved. Just four years ago, very few drones were used for cleaning operations. Today, thousands of drones are performing cleaning and maintenance tasks daily, and market adoption continues to accelerate at record speed.

All KTV Working Drone technology is developed in Norway, building on more than 35 years of experience in maintenance, safety, and innovation through the KTV Group. This combination of long-term industry knowledge and advanced drone technology has positioned KTV Working Drone as a global technology leader in drone-based cleaning and maintenance.

DJI’s decision to highlight KTV Working Drone globally underlines the maturity of the technology and the growing importance of drone-based solutions in the future of building maintenance.
