Cleaning, surface treatment, and inspection done by drone
KTV Working Drone delivers advanced drone based solutions for cleaning, surface treatment, and inspection, addressing one of the most significant challenges in modern maintenance: difficult and complex access.
Our technology removes the need for scaffolding, lifts, or rope access, eliminates the risk of working at height, and minimizes disruption, such as closing roads or railway lines during operations.
We are an experienced partner
KTV was founded in Norway in 1992, specializing in cleaning and surface treatment for the oil & gas, property, energy and infrastructure sectors.
KTV Working Drone was developed between 2015 and 2020 and is now established in 66 countries, delivering safe, efficient, and sustainable maintenance solutions to critical industries worldwide.
Ideal services and technology for the infrastructure sector
Cleaning
Our drones are capable of high-pressure cleaning up to 300 bar, making them ideal for cleaning roofs, facades, and intricate structural areas.
This method removes the need for personnel in hazardous environments and eliminates the cost of scaffolding or aerial lifts.
In addition, we have developed the KTV SelfCleaner, an innovative system that keeps surfaces clean over time without the need for high pressure, supporting long-term maintenance with minimal environmental impact.
Inspection
We perform thermal and photographic inspections as well as 3D modeling to detect damage at an early stage.
Our engineers generate detailed condition reports, helping clients make data driven decisions and plan maintenance proactively.
Inspection is often combined with cleaning, enabling a more accurate assessment of surface conditions.
We also offer data documentation systems that can store and manage large volumes of inspection data, ensuring full maintenance traceability over decades.
Surface treatment
Our drones can apply paint, impregnation, and nano-coatings after cleaning, providing long-lasting surface protection. This treatment reduces future cleaning requirements and helps prevent moisture-related damage, especially in concrete structures.
In infrastructure projects, where the lifespan often exceeds 100 years routine maintenance is critical. Environments with high humidity and salt exposure require consistent cleaning and treatment. Drones make this work far more efficient, especially in locations that are difficult to reach, such as bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, and noise barriers.
To ensure maximum safety, we’ve developed stabilization systems that prevent drones from falling or drifting during operations.
Protection of mineral surfaces.
We have developed a unique method for applying KTV NanoCoating after cleaning. The product creates a protective barrier that prevents water penetration and helps keep surfaces cleaner for longer. It has a lifespan of up to 10 years.
KTV NanoCoating is recommended for all mineral surfaces, including plaster, concrete, brick façades, and similar materials.
Thanks to our proprietary drone technology, we can apply the coating at a rate of up to 2,000 m² per hour. This makes it an ideal solution for use in the property, infrastructure, and energy sectors.
KTV Eco is a nanotechnology-based photocatalytic coating. Provides a long-lasting self cleaning surface and reduces NOx pollution. Documented environmental improvement, combined with reduced cleaning costs.
Provide self cleaning, air purifying, and antimicrobial properties to porous exterior surfaces such as cement, render, plaster, natural stone, and unpolished marble. Activated by ambient or solar light,
KTV ECO forms a transparent, functional nanolayer that continuously decomposes airborne pollutants, organic residues, and harmful microorganisms—without altering the substrate’s appearance.
KTV Eco’s properties for reducing NOx pollution are particularly ideal for treating concrete structures, bridges along the road. Cost is low as we have developed our own methods, where we use drones during application. Most projects save customers significant amounts of money on cleaning, in addition to improving air quality and reducing NOx pollution.
By combining KTV NANO and KTV ECO, maximum protection/self-cleaning surface and reduction of NOx pollution will be achieved. For anyone concerned with sustainability and cost reduction, this is an optimal solution. Upon completion of projects, an environmental report is prepared that can be used towards environmental accounting and sustainability reporting.
We offer inspection services using KTV Working Drone
Inspection services
Structural and environmental insight without shutdowns.
Infrastructure such as bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, and noise barriers are continuously exposed to heavy loads, vibration, moisture, and climate stress.
Over time, this exposure can cause cracking, corrosion, deformation, and water intrusion — and in cold climates, increased risk of snow load failure and landslides that threaten both structures and public safety.
KTV Working Drone provides advanced inspection services using high-resolution photography, thermal imaging, and 3D modeling.

Our drone technology operates safely without scaffolding, lifts, or traffic closures, giving a complete condition overview of infrastructure assets while maintaining full operational uptime.
Our inspection capabilities include:
- Detection of cracks, deformation, and corrosion in concrete, steel, and composite structures.
- Identification of loose or unstable façade and wall elements with fall risk.
- Thermal detection of water ingress, leaks, and insulation breakdown.
- Monitoring of snow accumulation, ice formation, and avalanche risk zones.
- Surface mapping of slopes and retaining structures for landslide prevention.
- Periodic condition documentation and digital traceability for long-term asset management.
Each inspection is analyzed by engineers who translate drone data into actionable reports — highlighting structural weaknesses, safety risks, and maintenance priorities.
When required, inspection is combined with cleaning and surface treatment to verify coating performance and prevent future degradation.
Drone-in-a-box solution
Automated inspections with Dock System
For long-term or high-risk environments, KTV Working Drone offers the Dock System (drone-in-a-box) — an automated drone station enabling scheduled or on-demand inspections.
The Dock system can continuously monitor bridges, tunnels, retaining walls, avalanche barriers, and exposed mountain zones, providing real-time data on both structure and environmental conditions.

Safety, efficiency, and traceability
Our inspection technology eliminates the need for manual access and significantly reduces environmental impact and operational disruption.
All findings are digitally stored, ensuring a fully traceable maintenance and inspection record that supports long-term safety management, environmental reporting, and sustainability documentation.
Sustainability
Our technology is designed to remove personnel from hazardous work environments, eliminating the need for scaffolding and aerial lifts. In most cases, the total time required for operations is significantly reduced.
We’ve also developed the KTV PowerCleaner, a high-pressure washer powered entirely by battery, making it 100% electric. This machine is unique in it’s class and features a pure water system that minimizes the need for chemicals, reducing environmental impact.
Sustainable cleaning methods
Our cleaning methods were developed as early as 2015, with a clear focus on sustainability and surface protection. We aim to reduce water pressure during cleaning and avoid all mechanical contact with surfaces.
The KTV SelfCleaner and KTV WindowCleaner systems are designed to preserve facades and windows over time, preventing surface damage while maintaining cleanliness.
Buildings and infrastructure within real estate, oil & gas, energy, and public works often have life cycles of over 100 years. This makes maintenance method selection crucial for sustainability.
We understand long-term maintenance, and our solutions are among the most sustainable methods available today.
Digital compliance & documentation
Our Bluetag CRM system is fully compliant with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001 standards.
All jobs and projects are documented with checklists, risk assessments, reports, and images.
This documentation is available online to clients from the very start of the project, ensuring transparency, traceability and quality control at every stage.
