About us

Our history and the evolution of cleaning

Kennet Nilsen founded KTV Group in 1992, and since then, the company has become a leading provider of façade and window cleaning services, with over three decades of experience.

As the company expanded, it diversified its offerings to cater to offshore and land-based industries, with a focus on professional cleaning and surface treatment. This led to the development of KTV Working Drone, a cutting-edge drone-based solution designed to serve a wide range of industries.

In 2022, KTV Working Drone emerged as a pioneer in the façade and window cleaning industry. The team has dedicated several years to creating advanced equipment, cutting-edge systems, and streamlined procedures, to serve customers across the globe with a safer and more unified approach. The company has taken great care to ensure that clients from different countries receive top-notch service, and they continue to strive for excellence in their operations.

Research and development are at the core of KTV Working Drone’s operations. We are dedicated to advancing our technology and collaborating closely with our partners to achieve this goal. We recognize the crucial role that our partners play in our development, and we believe that sharing our experiences is essential for mutual growth. As we continue to expand our presence all over the world, we remain committed to leveraging our partners’ expertise to enhance our capabilities.

Our intention

At KTV Working Drone, our primary objective is to make a positive impact and enhance people’s daily work experience.

We are committed to promoting safety and well-being for those who work at heights, including lift operators, scaffolders, and façade climbers. These physically demanding jobs often result in stress injuries and pose significant risks every day. We are dedicated to supporting this group and improving their working conditions through innovative drone-based solutions.

Setting the standard for working drones

KTV Working Drone evolved out of the KTV Group which was founded in 1992 by Kennet Nilsen. KTV Group have more than 30 years experience with facade and window cleaning and are experts in their field.

KTV Working Drone originated from an idea to find an innovative and efficient way to clean facades and windows. This was back in 2015. A lot of mods were needed to make the drone work properly for cleaning, also commercial. Fast forward the result is a unique drone with tailor-made and uniquely adapted mounting equipment with specially designed cleaning equipment. A patent pending safety solution to prevent the drone from falling down during operation is also developed.

The drone has been extensively tested and commercialized for window and facade cleaning, and has been used operationally since 2020 by the KTV Group in Norway.

In 2022, KTV Working Drone was ready and the commercializing process started. Today KTV Working Drone is established almost all over the world, and the partner network is growing rapidly.

The future holds many opportunities for development for KTV Working Drone. We think our drones soon will be able to do small repairs, special inspections and even surface treatment.

What's next

  • Spray painting
With continued development, extended testing and new partnerships with paint manufacturers, we are moving closer to the final testing phase.

  • Higher altitudes
At KTV Working Drone, we are proud to offer innovative technology that allows our drones to safely perform tasks at altitudes of 600m/2000 feet and higher. Our state-of-the-art roof safety system ensures safety for both the drone and those on the ground. We believe that the possibilities for our drones are endless, and we are dedicated to pushing the boundaries of what is possible.

  • Goggles
As a result of operating in higher altitudes, the use of special flight goggles is being considered and tested.

  • Remote Control rooms
As part of our plans, we intend to establish control rooms for drone pilots, enabling them to operate drones globally via the Internet. This advancement will enable drone pilots to offer remote support, execute specialized tasks, operate more safely, and provide exceptional services from anywhere in the world.
